Descrizione

Scrounger - una persona che prende in prestito o vive alle spalle degli altri.

Non c'è descrizione migliore per questo strumento per due motivi principali: il primo è che questo strumento prende ispirazione da molti altri strumenti già pubblicati, il secondo è che vive delle vulnerabilità delle applicazioni mobili.

Perché

Nonostante siano stati sviluppati diversi altri strumenti di analisi delle applicazioni mobili, non esiste un unico strumento che possa essere utilizzato sia per Android che per iOS e che possa essere definito uno "standard" da usare in ogni valutazione di applicazioni mobili.

L'idea alla base di Scrounger è quella di creare uno strumento simile a Metasploit che non farà il lavoro dei penetration tester, ma li aiuterà nella loro valutazione eseguendo compiti banali che devono essere eseguiti in tutte le valutazioni.

La Differenza

Le principali funzionalità che Scrounger offre e che altri non offrono:

  • Funziona con Android e iOS
  • Console e moduli simili a Metasploit
  • Offre una varietà di moduli che possono essere eseguiti per dare al penetration tester un punto di partenza
  • Facilmente estendibile

Dettagli Tecnici

Come disclaimer, tutti i risultati identificati da Scrounger dovrebbero sempre essere verificati manualmente.

Quando si utilizzano moduli che necessitano di un dispositivo Android o iOS, Scrounger richiede rispettivamente un dispositivo Rooted o Jailbroken.

Scrounger è stato testato per funzionare su iOS 11 e Android 8.1.

Scrounger è stato sviluppato solo per python 2.7.

## Aggiungere Moduli Personalizzati

Durante l'installazione dell'applicazione, verrà creata una cartella `~/.scrounger`.
All'interno di `~/.scrounger` ci sarà una cartella chiamata `modules/custom` con la stessa struttura dei moduli predefiniti di scrounger, ad esempio `analysis/android/module_name`.

Per creare un nuovo modulo personalizzato, basta aggiungere un nuovo file con il nome del modulo desiderato e verrà incluso al prossimo avvio di scrounger.
