
Strumento proof-of-concept che dimostra un attacco MITM per rimuovere SSL/TLS dalle connessioni MySQL, sfruttando CVE-2015-3152 per il penetration testing di rete.
mysslstrip è un proof of concept basato su Python che mostra come intercettare il traffico MySQL e rimuovere SSL/TLS, come da CVE-2015-3152.

È una vera vulnerabilità?
Sì! Crittografa tutto. Permettere il degrado opportunistico della crittografia è una pessima pratica.
La vulnerabilità riguarda MySQL 5.7.2 e versioni precedenti, insieme a MySQL Connector versioni 6.1.2 e precedenti, tutte le versioni di Percona Server e tutte le versioni di MariaDB.
Patch?
È stato risolto in MySQL 5.7.3 ... ma la patch di sicurezza non è stata backportata a nessun'altra versione, quindi se sei sulla 5.6 come il 99,99% di Internet, sei sfortunato a meno che non passi alla "release preview" 5.7.
