POC di log4j vulnerabile in Spring

Questa è una POC per un semplice backend Spring Boot con Maven che include una versione vulnerabile di log4j per CVE-2021-44228

Spring Boot inizializzato con https://start.spring.io.

comandi

./mvnw spring-boot:run: avvia il server
./mvnw dependency:tree: stampa l'albero delle dipendenze e controlla la versione di log4j in uso
nc -k -l 3030: bash, avvia un socket server per ascoltare connessioni TCP arbitrarie in arrivo, ad esempio dalla nostra applicazione Spring Boot vulnerabile.

Come funziona

Chiamare l'endpoint (localhost:8080/vuln o /localhost:8080vuln2?input=... tramite Spring Boot) attiverà una chiamata HTTP (qui: a localhost:3030 tramite nc) scrivendo determinati dati nel file di log. Per maggiori informazioni, fare riferimento al relativo CVE.
