Beschreibung

Scrounger – eine Person, die von anderen leiht oder auf deren Kosten lebt.

Es gibt keine bessere Beschreibung für dieses Tool aus zwei Hauptgründen: Erstens, weil dieses Tool von vielen anderen bereits veröffentlichten Tools inspiriert ist, und zweitens, weil es von Schwachstellen mobiler Anwendungen lebt.

Warum

Obwohl mehrere andere mobile Anwendungsanalysetools entwickelt wurden, gibt es kein einziges Tool, das sowohl für Android als auch für iOS verwendet werden kann und als ein „Standard“-Muss bei jeder Bewertung mobiler Anwendungen bezeichnet werden kann.

Die Idee hinter Scrounger ist es, ein metasploit-ähnliches Tool zu schaffen, das nicht die Arbeit eines Pentesters erledigt, sondern dem Pentester bei seiner Bewertung hilft, indem es banale Aufgaben ausführt, die bei allen Bewertungen durchgeführt werden müssen.

Der Unterschied

Die Hauptfunktionen, die Scrounger bietet und andere nicht:

  • Funktioniert mit Android und iOS
  • Metasploit-ähnliche Konsole und Module
  • Bietet eine Vielzahl von Modulen, die ausgeführt werden können, um dem Pentester einen Ausgangspunkt zu geben
  • Einfach erweiterbar

Inspiration / Danksagung

Scrounger wurde von anderen Tools inspiriert, ein großer Dank an die Entwickler von:

Technisches

Als Haftungsausschluss sollten alle identifizierten Ergebnisse von Scrounger immer manuell überprüft werden.

Bei der Verwendung von Modulen, die ein Android- oder iOS-Gerät benötigen, benötigt Scrounger ein gerootetes bzw. gejailbreaktes Gerät.

Scrounger wurde getestet, um auf iOS 11 und Android 8.1 zu funktionieren.

Scrounger wurde nur für python 2.7 entwickelt.

## Hinzufügen benutzerdefinierter Module

Bei der Installation der Anwendung wird ein Ordner `~/.scrounger` erstellt.
Innerhalb von `~/.scrounger` befindet sich ein Ordner namens `modules/custom` mit der gleichen Struktur wie die standardmäßigen Scrounger-Module, z.B. `analysis/android/module_name`.

Um ein neues benutzerdefiniertes Modul zu erstellen, fügen Sie einfach eine neue Datei mit dem gewünschten Modulnamen hinzu, und es wird beim nächsten Start von Scrounger berücksichtigt.
