• fügt module_blacklist in grub hinzu
• bereinigt den Hotfix automatisch nach einem Kernel-Update
• für RHEL-basierte Systeme (AlmaLinux, Rocky, Oracle, Fedora) deaktiviert es die Boot Loader Specification (GRUB_ENABLE_BLSCFG=false), setzt GRUB_DEFAULT=0 und erstellt einen Kernel-Installations-Hook (/etc/kernel/install.d/99-grub-update.install), der die Grub-Konfiguration nach Kernel-Updates neu erstellt, um sicherzustellen, dass beim nächsten Neustart der aktuellste Kernel geladen wird

Description

This tool checks for CVE-2026-31431 (pre condition) and applies mitigation (requires root):

• identifies protected combinations of OS (including WSL) and kernel versions
• offers a kernel update with a fix if available
• disables algif_aead if not
