Die in ServiceNow (Orlando) entdeckte Schwachstelle ermöglicht eine erfolgreiche Benutzernamen-Enumeration mithilfe einer Wortliste. Durch die Verwendung einer nicht authentifizierten Sitzung und den Aufruf des Passwort-Reset-Formulars kann auf einen gültigen Benutzernamen geschlossen werden. Dies wird durch die Untersuchung der HTTP-POST-Antwortdaten erreicht, die ursprünglich durch das Passwort-Reset-Webformular ausgelöst werden. Diese Antwort unterscheidet sich je nach Existenz des Benutzernamens.
HINWEIS: Um diesen Prozess zu automatisieren, sind ein gültiges Sitzungs-Cookie (JSESSIONID), ein CSRF-Token (pwd_csrf_token) und ein X-UserToken (X-UserToken) erforderlich. Alle diese Objekte sind aus clientseitigem Code wiederherstellbar.
