
برهان مفهوم لاستغلال CVE-2024-31449، وهو تجاوز سعة المخزن المؤقت في مكدس محرك Lua في Redis عبر bit.tohex، مما يتيح رفض الخدمة وتسرب محتمل للمعلومات على خوادم Redis.
Redis هي قاعدة بيانات غير علائقية مفتوحة المصدر في الذاكرة.
تقوم دالة bit.tohex بتحويل القيم السالبة داخليًا إلى موجبة بضربها في سالب واحد. تخضع القيمة INT32_MIN أيضًا لعملية الضرب دون فحص، مما يحولها إلى قيمة ضخمة جدًا داخليًا ويؤدي إلى استمرار المنطق، مما يسبب تجاوز سعة المخزن المؤقت للمكدس.
نظرًا لأن ملف Redis الثنائي يحتوي على جميع آليات الحماية تقريبًا، فإن استغلال الثغرة لوحدها لا يكفي لتحقيق تنفيذ تعليمات برمجية عن بُعد (RCE)، ولكن يمكن استخدام تجاوز سعة المخزن المؤقت للمكدس لشن هجوم حرمان من الخدمة (DoS).
