Resumo
No kernel do Linux, a seguinte vulnerabilidade foi resolvida: dst: corrige corridas em rt6_uncached_list_del() e rt_del_uncached_list() O syzbot conseguiu derrubar o kernel em rt6_uncached_list_flush_dev() de uma forma interessante [1] A falha ocorre em list_del_init()/INIT_LIST_HEAD() ao escrever list->prev, enquanto a escrita anterior em list->next ocorreu sem problemas. static inline void INIT_LIST_HEAD(struct list_head *list) { WRITE_ONCE(list->next, list); // Esta escrita ocorreu sem problemas WRITE_ONCE(list->prev, list); // Falha, @list foi liberado. } O problema aqui é que rt6_uncached_list_del() não tentou bloquear ul->lock, pois list_empty(&rt->dst.rt_uncached) retornou verdadeiro porque o WRITE_ONCE(list->next, list) ocorreu na outra CPU. Podemos usar list_del_init_careful() e list_empty_careful(), ou garantir que rt6_uncached_list_del() sempre adquira o spinlock sempre que rt->dst.rt_uncached_list tiver sido definido. Uma correção semelhante é necessária para IPv4.
