Le HackSys Extreme Vulnerable Driver (HEVD) est un pilote du noyau Windows volontairement vulnérable. Il a été développé pour les chercheurs en sécurité et les passionnés afin d'améliorer leurs compétences en exploitation au niveau noyau.

HEVD propose une gamme de vulnérabilités, allant de simples débordements de tampon sur la pile à des problèmes plus complexes tels que use-after-free, débordements de tampon dans les pools et conditions de concurrence. Cela permet aux chercheurs d'explorer les techniques d'exploitation pour chaque vulnérabilité implémentée.
