I am publishing a detailed technical breakdown of the critical vulnerability CVE-2026-41089, discovered in the Windows Netlogon service. My analysis shows that the issue is related to a stack-based buffer overflow (CWE-121). By sending specially crafted requests to a domain controller (DC), an unauthenticated attacker can cause memory corruption and execute arbitrary code at the NT AUTHORITY\SYSTEM level.
"He who controls Netlogon, controls the kingdom."
Since exploitation of the vulnerability requires no authentication and no user interaction, this issue poses a critical threat to corporate infrastructures, opening a direct path to Active Directory compromise.
