An inverted check from user enables a process inside the container to break out of the sandbox along with full root privileges on user PC. I have been investigating about this vulnerability and has a lightweight script that runs in the terminal to check if you are vulnerable.
This is a lightweight terminal-based script to find out if you are vulnerable to this attack or not.
As I have heard at least one of my friends on Discord who uses Zorin OS happened to encounter this type of attack. As for now, security patches is not widely avalible for users yet, I recommend keeping an eye out or turning on automatic system components or security updates.
