Windows-TCP/IP-IPv6(CVE-2024-38063)

Vulnerability CVE-2024-38063 is a remote code execution vulnerability in the TCP/IP component of the Windows operating system. According to Microsoft's official description, the vulnerability has a maximum severity rating of Critical, with a CVSS score of 9.8, and multiple versions of Windows systems are affected. Attackers can exploit this vulnerability to achieve remote code execution.

Vulnerability Principle

The vulnerability is caused by an integer underflow in the TCP/IP component of the Windows operating system. An unauthenticated attacker can repeatedly send IPv6 packets (including specially crafted packets) to a Windows computer, thereby achieving remote code execution.
