💻 System Requirements

🔧 Installation Instructions

  1. Download the File:

    • Go to the Releases page and choose the latest version. Click on the appropriate installer for your operating system.
  2. Run the Installer:

    • Double-click the downloaded file to start the installation.
    • Follow the on-screen instructions. Choose your preferred installation location or use the default one.
  3. Finish Installation:

    • Once the installation completes, you will see a confirmation message.
    • You can now find mongobleed-scanner in your applications menu.

⚙️ Using mongobleed-scanner

Step 1: Launch the Application

  • Open mongobleed-scanner from your applications menu. You will see a simple interface. It is designed for easy navigation.

Step 2: Prepare Your MongoDB

  • Ensure your MongoDB instance is running. You might need the IP address and port number to connect, typically localhost:27017.

Step 3: Configure Settings

  • In the application, input the necessary details:
    • IP Address: Enter your MongoDB server's IP.
    • Port Number: Default is 27017; change it only if needed.

Step 4: Start Scanning

  • Click the "Scan" button. The tool will analyze the MongoDB instance for any vulnerabilities related to CVE-2025-14847 and generate a report.

Step 5: Review Results

  • After scanning, review the results. The application will outline any discovered vulnerabilities and provide recommendations on how to fix them.

🛠️ Troubleshooting Common Issues

Issue: Application won’t start.

  • Solution: Ensure your system meets the requirements. Check if your security software is blocking the installation.

Issue: Scan returns no results.

  • Solution: Confirm that your MongoDB instance is running and accessible from the application.

Issue: Unable to connect to MongoDB.

  • Solution: Verify your IP address and port number. Make sure MongoDB is configured to accept external connections.
