Kitploit Is Back

After a long pause, Kitploit is finally back online.

During this time, we did not abandon the project. Quite the opposite. We have been working on a new version, reviewing what worked, fixing what no longer made sense, and rebuilding a large part of the experience to prepare Kitploit for a new stage.

The idea remains the same one that inspired the project from the beginning: helping people discover cybersecurity, ethical hacking, penetration testing, analysis, research, and defensive security tools, now in a clearer, faster, and more useful way.

A New Version of Kitploit

This reopening is not simply about bringing the old website back online. Kitploit has been renewed to improve both the experience of those looking for tools and the process we use to discover, review, and publish new projects.

These are some of the main improvements:

A Faster and More Organized Experience

The navigation has been redesigned to make finding tools easier. Pages load faster, information is better organized, and much of the clutter that made discovering interesting projects more difficult has been removed.

We have also worked to ensure that Kitploit functions properly on desktop computers, tablets, and mobile devices.

A Completely Improved Search Engine

The search engine can now find tools using their names, descriptions, categories, and relevant project content.

The goal is to make it unnecessary to know the exact name of a tool. You can search based on what you need to do, a specific technique, a type of analysis, or an area of cybersecurity.

Better Organization by Category

We reviewed the way tools are classified so that categories are more useful and better represent what each project actually does.

A tool can belong to more than one category when appropriate, avoiding overly rigid classifications that can hide relevant projects.

More Complete Information for Each Tool

Tool pages have been redesigned to present information more clearly.

Depending on the information available, you may find:

• A project description.
• Related categories.
• The official repository.
• Main documentation.
• Installation and usage instructions.
• Information about project activity.
• Relevant links.
• Related tools.

Our goal is for every page to help visitors quickly understand what a tool does, who it may be useful for, and where to find its official source.

Documentation in the Original Language

When a project maintains official documentation in multiple languages, Kitploit attempts to display the most appropriate version for each visitor.

This allows us to respect the content created by the project developers themselves while improving the experience for an international community.

This new version has been prepared to reach a broader community.

The website is beginning a multilingual stage that will allow people to browse and discover tools in different languages while always maintaining access to the original project and its official documentation.

Support for additional languages will be introduced progressively and will continue to improve over time.

A More Careful Publishing Process

We do not want Kitploit to become an automatically generated list of links.

Tools go through a review process before being published. We evaluate the available information, the project's relationship to cybersecurity, the condition of its repository, and the minimum level of quality required to appear on the website.

This process is intended to reduce duplicate projects, broken links, misleading content, abandoned tools without proper context, and repositories that may represent a risk to the community.

This does not mean that every published tool is completely safe. Security tools should always be reviewed before execution, especially when they require elevated permissions or interact with sensitive systems.

Better Discovery of Relevant Projects

We have also improved the way we discover new tools.

Kitploit can analyze different public sources to identify recent projects, important updates, and tools that may be useful to the community.

The priority will not be to publish as many projects as possible, but to find projects that provide real value.

Submitting New Tools

The community will once again be able to suggest tools for review.

The submission process has been simplified and now supports projects hosted on compatible platforms, as well as tools published on other websites.

When a tool has already been submitted, is currently under review, or was previously rejected, the system will provide clear information about its status.

Greater Transparency During the Review Process

One of the problems with the previous version was that it was often unclear what happened after a tool was submitted.

In this new stage, we want to provide clearer messages when a project:

• Already exists on Kitploit.
• Is waiting for review.
• Could not be processed.
• Was rejected.
• Is already publicly available.

There are still parts of this process that we will continue improving, but we want submitting a tool to stop feeling like sending information into a black box.

Better Tracking of Tools and Projects

The new version allows us to more easily detect projects that have moved, been archived, become unavailable, or updated important information.

This will help us keep the catalog cleaner and reduce outdated links.

Greater Stability and Security

We have also worked on many improvements that may not be directly visible but are essential for the future of Kitploit.

The platform is now better prepared to handle more tools, more visitors, additional languages, and future features without sacrificing stability.

We have also strengthened our controls to reduce spam, automated submissions, and abuse of public forms.

A Project That Will Continue to Evolve

This reopening does not mean that everything is finished.

Some features will continue to improve, translations will still need to be reviewed, categories will require adjustments, and information about older tools will need to be updated.

During the first few weeks, errors or unexpected behavior may also appear. If you find anything, we would greatly appreciate you letting us know.

Kitploit will continue to evolve. We would rather publish a solid foundation, listen to the community, and improve progressively than wait indefinitely for a supposedly perfect version.

Our Commitment to the Community

Kitploit was created as a project for sharing tools and knowledge with the cybersecurity community.

That commitment remains at the center of this new version.

We want to support people who build open tools, help smaller projects get discovered, and provide a place where students, researchers, professionals, and enthusiasts can find useful resources.

We also want to act responsibly. We do not seek to promote the malicious use of tools or present every repository as trustworthy simply because it appears on Kitploit. Kitploit is a discovery platform, but every user should conduct their own research, review the available source code, and only use tools on systems they own or have permission to test.

The community will be essential in keeping the project alive. Your recommendations, corrections, reports, and feedback will help us improve the catalog and decide which features to develop next.
